Bench Jesse Davis, too. Put Hunt back at RT. Here's another sack he gave up. His first one took out Tua.

But….but….I thought Jackson was learning…..lol…..not. He will be bagging groceries in a year or two.

Yup. Eichenberg at LT (for better or worse), kick Jackson inside and shift Hunt over to RT (where I thought he was better anyway).

There is still time for this line to get better, but if they keep up the windmill performances at won't matter who is behind center.

I'm just glad a I didn't watch the whole game yet. Sounded brutal.

It was mind-numbingly bad. The Bills would seemingly get whoever was lined up on the edge free as the offensive tackles would opt to ignore them, or just not have the technique or feet to handle them. Also, the team just abandoned the run early and made it too easy for the Bills who gleefully took turns at smashing the QB. It was a shameful performance. The defense played well enough, but after 3 failed 4th down conversions, they were just asked to do too much.

I do not want to see Jackson on the field again, ever. He is clueless. On one key Miami pass play that succeeded, he got it erased by being 5 yards downfield blocking when the pass was thrown. Just wow.

I was shocked to see two consecutive sacks on Tua on the first drive making us go 3 and out. Neither one was touched. That set the tone for the offense.

Yeah. The crow flew in early yesterday. I’m tired of people pretending Miami has this environmental home field advantage under heat early in the season.

We don’t. Everybody has played some serious ball in the heat at this level.

I am not sure if the heat effect would show up in the first three plays of the game maybe in the 2nd half of the game if the O keeps the opposing D on the field for a while with a decent running game.

Here's PFF's grades on the OL. Thes are the worst grades that I've ever seen.

I couldn't help but notice the 9 pressures that Austin Jackson gave up.

I jokingly said trade for Drew Lock. Just for ha-ha's I rewatched the highlights from Miami-Denver last year. Jackson was brutal in that game too.

He may be another Ereck Flowers. Raw prospect who can be at least decent at guard.

When will we learn not to take guys in the first couple of rounds who are prospects? Physical talent and or capacity to grow isn't enough to justify a first round pick. Dion Jordan years ago and now seemingly Austin Jackson and N. Igbinoghene. (And to think we got Jackson with the Minkah Fitzpatrick pick.) There was a reason those guys were rated much lower than where we picked them. I've been trying to give Grier the benefit of the doubt, but too many of the picks aren't looking good right now. At this rate, an average fan who studies Mel Kiper's draftboard could have just as much success, and I'm not even a Kiper fan.

I'm seeing Michael Dieter's Pass Blocking grade as 59.7.

Dieter is panning out and it looks like a very worthwhile trade to give up a 3rd in 2022 to move up for Eichenberg. There is hope for the line if Flores has the guts to shuffle it up.

I can understand the disappointment in selecting both Jackson and Igbinoghene that early with very little return so far. There is still time for both to make positive impacts on the team.

The o line effectively gets a week to practice their skills against a horrid Jags team. There better be some domination in the trenches.

We don't have until October 17th to figure this out.

You are not alone. Nobody likes Kiper here.

It’s honestly a native symbol of pride.

It feels like we got hit with a double dose of Charles Harris.

Unfortunately, what is going to happen for Sunday's game is that Kindley will be benched and Eich will start at LG. Everything else remains the same for now. There are other discussions about what to do along the OL, but the Dolphins bye week is Week 14, so, they will have to make changes on the fly.

Barry Jackson (Miami Herald) wrote:
Dolphins coaches and officials, this week, privately and briefly discussed the wisdom of two global issues: moving Robert Hunt back from right guard to right tackle and possibly shifting Jackson from left tackle to guard. The sources said both remain on the table as long-term options, but the Dolphins are not expected to execute either of those moves now.

They want to continue to develop Jackson as a tackle, but for the first time, the idea of playing him at guard has been raised and could happen at some point.

Hunt played well at right tackle the final six games of last season, but Miami moved him to right guard in April, believing he has more upside there.

I am in agreement here with Matty I. Quit pooping on the toilet and make the solid moves right now at tackle. Admit that you were wrong. We don't care. Just fix it.

A Week 14 Bye should only be given to legitimate contenders…I mean, come on

Grier needs to go. He's had multiple opportunities to rebuild this line and has failed to do so.

Glad to see I'm not the only person saying Robert Hunt should start at RT.

It is pretty simple. Give Jackson a week to learn the plays as a guard. Stick Davis at LG, move Kindley back to RG.

Davis might bounce back, but Jackson is trash. The coaching staff is obviously inept if they think a tackle can be that bad and get to start and learn on the job. This is not a job at McDonalds….the LT is protecting your QB, who besides being a mere mortal worthy of protection, he is the guy that you need upright to move the ball down the field so that the coaches might win games and keep their jobs. Not only is Grier a moron, but the offensive coaching staff is stuck on stupid and now I have to believe that Flores is stubborn and thinks banging his head against the wall will fix the problem. Just wow….

I actually took last year's schedule off of the forum and site before our first game. I do have to update it, but have been busy. Your browser must still be pulling up old images which means you have not been here often .... shame, shame.

:))

Hey I'm here all the time! Don't post much in the summer because off season, but still look around and read. Posting just on my web browser on mobile. The image still lingers :)
